The Aurora Jewelry Box pairs the Aurora marquetry pattern with clean chrome hardware, a quieter, more contemporary reading of the Sorrento inlaid tradition. The design is cut from naturally toned woods and laid by hand across the lid and body.
Available in three sizes, each lined in velvet and closed with a lock and key. The interior can be configured with fitted trays for watches, cufflinks, pens or sunglasses, a poker set on the Large, or left as open jewelry storage.
Each box leaves the same Sorrento workshop it was cut in. Seven woods, dyed and cut with the fretsaw, are laid piece by piece into the surface, then sealed under coats of hand-polished lacquer. Three generations on, the method has not changed.
