Where are your pieces made?

Every piece is made in our workshop in Sorrento, Italy — cut, inlaid, lacquered and polished by hand, then dispatched from the same benches it was made on.

Are they really handmade?

Yes. The marquetry is cut with a fretsaw and laid piece by piece into the surface, then finished with several coats of hand-polished lacquer. No two pieces are ever identical.

Is the Klimt collection painted?

No. The Klimt collection is marquetry — a picture built from inlaid wood — inspired by the golden, mosaic style of Gustav Klimt. The pattern is composed from natural wood tones, not paint.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship worldwide from Italy. Shipping is complimentary within the European Union; for other destinations the cost is calculated at checkout by country, weight and size.

Will I have to pay customs or duties?

Within the EU, all taxes are included. Outside the EU, parcels ship delivered-duty-unpaid: any import duties or taxes set by your country are payable by you on delivery and are not included in the price.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and PayPal. All payments are processed securely; we never see or store your full card details.

Can I return a piece?

Yes — eligible pieces may be returned within fourteen days of receipt, in their original condition. See our Returns page for the full details.

Do you take custom or trade orders?

We do. For bespoke requests, larger quantities or wholesale enquiries, write to us at info@ercolano.it and we will be glad to help.

How do I care for my piece?

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the piece out of direct sunlight and away from radiators or damp, which can affect wood and lacquer over time. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
